It's so good to be back! My holidays were fantastic, even though they weren't quite what I expected. I didn't get to see the one person I wanted to spend the entire holidays with. I also missed Oli and Ryann (wow, this is the first time I can actually say that I missed my friends), and I hope to catch up with all of you very soon. Let me know when you have time for me!

Wow! Well, this is interesting. I've always wondered what I would look like if I were a boy. I'm actually really cute, aren't I? :D

I have no idea how this happened but luckily I don't seem to be the only one.

I just realised that I haven't updated this in a while. I don't really have much to say, though.

That dance was quite exciting. I didn't have a date but ended up talking to Harry for a while. He's always so nice to me. I really like him. I also was quite tipsy, even though there was no alcohol in the punch, as far as I know. Very curious. There was something else in it, though, since everyone acted quite strange. I might have imagined that, though. In any case, I had a lot of fun and hope that they organise balls like that more often. It's nice to have people from all four houses together, don't you think? Hm.

I've been hanging out with the Thestrals a lot lately because I just don't have anything else to do. I really wish I had some friends. Maybe I should just ask someone if they'd like to spend some time with me.

So, does anyone? Want to hang out with me, I mean?

I've been back at Hogwarts for a week now, and I had the idea to start this journal to talk about all the exciting things I do. It will be nice to come back to this in a few years and read about it, I think.

My first week here was quite lovely but not very unusual. I spent a lot of time with the Thestrals; it's really too bad that only a few people know about them. They're really quite lovely, and also a little lonely which is why I like to keep them company. A new baby Thestral has been born when I was gone during the summer and he's really adorable, and so tiny! I've found out that he likes pudding, so I saved my dessert a few times this week and gave it to him.

My favourite pair of shoes have gone missing surprisingly but I'm quite positive that they will show up soon. My possessions always seem to come back to me after a while, and I often find them in rather unusual places.

Care of Magical Creatures is really interesting this year; Hagrid showed us some really extraordinary creatures I hadn't even heard about before. I suspect that I will learn a lot this year.

I've been feeling a bit lonely this week but I guess I will just have to get used to being back here and not at home with Dad. It is quite sad not to really have anyone to talk to, here.

But I have a feeling that this year will be different than the last few, for some reason. Having a few human friends would be nice.
